Projects That Actually Matter

We've spent the last decade turning sustainability from a checkbox into something you can actually walk through and live in. Here's what we've been up to – each project taught us something new about doing architecture that doesn't cost the earth.

Westbrook Passive Residence

This one was a challenge – the clients wanted a family home that basically pays for itself. Took us 18 months but we got there. Triple-glazed everything, super-insulated envelope, and a geothermal system that's been running flawlessly since 2022.

Location: West Vancouver, BC | Completed: 2022

Greenway Tech Campus
LEED Platinum

Greenway Tech Campus

A 45,000 sq ft workspace that doesn't feel like you're working in a box. Natural ventilation, living walls, and enough daylight that they barely touch the lights. The LEED auditors were pretty impressed, not gonna lie.

Location: Burnaby, BC | Completed: 2023

Lakeshore Eco-Retreat
Net-Zero Energy

Lakeshore Eco-Retreat

Designed for a couple who wanted to get off-grid without giving up modern comforts. Solar array, rainwater harvesting, the whole nine yards. They send us their energy bills sometimes – basically zero. That never gets old.

Location: Whistler, BC | Completed: 2021

Harborside Market Hall
LEED Gold

Harborside Market Hall

Converting an old warehouse into a food market that actually works? Yeah, that was fun. Kept the bones, upgraded everything else. Local vendors love the natural light and the fact that it stays cool in summer without cranking the AC.

Location: Victoria, BC | Completed: 2023

Granville Heritage Apartments
Heritage Restoration

Granville Heritage Apartments

1912 building that was basically falling apart. Spent months working with heritage consultants to keep the character while making it livable for today. Original brick, modern guts. Best of both worlds.

Location: Vancouver, BC | Completed: 2022

Cedar Ridge Family Home
Passive House

Cedar Ridge Family Home

Young family, tight budget, big sustainability goals. We made it work with smart planning and local materials. The kids have asthma and the indoor air quality here is honestly better than outside. That's what matters.

Location: North Vancouver, BC | Completed: 2024

Maplewood Community Hub
Net-Zero | LEED Platinum

Maplewood Community Hub

This project's got a special place for us. Working with the community from day one meant the building actually serves what folks need. Library, meeting spaces, and a rooftop garden that's become the neighbourhood hangout spot.

Location: Richmond, BC | Completed: 2023

Urban Laneway Living
Infill Housing

Urban Laneway Living

Three laneway homes on underused lots. Proving you don't need sprawl to create proper housing. Each one's got its own character but they all share the same green tech backbone. Density done right, basically.

Location: Vancouver, BC | Completed: 2024

Ironworks Creative Studios
Heritage Adaptive Reuse | LEED Gold

Ironworks Creative Studios

Old foundry turned into artist studios and maker spaces. The bones were incredible – exposed timber, steel trusses, real history. Just needed modern systems and better insulation. Now it's home to about 30 artists and small businesses.

Location: New Westminster, BC | Completed: 2021

Alpine Passive Cabin
Passive House

Alpine Passive Cabin

Building Passive House at elevation isn't something we'd done before. Harsh winters, remote location, limited access. But the clients wanted a ski retreat that wouldn't need constant heating. Challenge accepted. It stays warm with basically a candle.

Location: Pemberton, BC | Completed: 2022

We occasionally run studio tours and site visits for potential clients. Some of our past clients have even agreed to show their homes – they're pretty proud of what we built together, and honestly, so are we.
